Start off 2011 By Becoming A ShopAnthropist!

Dear Friends,

We just polled our nonprofitshoppingmall team about our New Year's resolutions and we came up with a long list.

Corine: "Personally, I am committed to working smarter, not harder, to lose 10 pounds and to get my son tutored up so we can send him off to college.  Professionally, I am committed to embedding consumer philanthropy into everyday online shopping.  I look forward to a day when all online purchases are a giving opportunity and I am determined to make that happen -- one organization and one transaction at a time.  And, because I want ALL our clients to prosper and grow, I won’t tell whose app I’ve downloaded currently but, rest assured, I do change it up a couple of times a year."

California Surfer Dude Burt: "I am re-committing to going out there whenever the surf is up. I missed too many good mornings in the water last year because it takes an extra effort to get up before dawn and head out. But I will do it in 2011. I may just have to come to work with salt water on my skin. My EZ Shopper APP is from Surfrider Foundation and it will stay on my browser!"
Casey: "My resolution is to get in shape so I need to start up with a regular exercise routine and stick to it! I also am committing to volunteering my time with some nonprofit organizations. I found a homeless shelter for families with kids and they need volunteers to work/tutor the kids and help with homework and stuff like that.  I'm trying to set an example for my kids, now that they're teenagers, it's not about them anymore,  it's about what you can give back. My APP supports the
Central Asia Institute. They build schools for children in Pakistan and Afghanistan."

Eric: "I resolve to learn to play the guitar half as well as Juan, and at least one Christmas song by the end of 2011. I am also committed to exercising more regularly as I used to, and to complete at least one 90-day period of P90X. Professionally, I will strive to expand our team's knowledge of new and upcoming web technologies to provide NPSM with the most powerful online reach imaginable! My EZ Shopper App supports Children's Miracle Network."

Jasmine is determined to reconnect with a life-long best friend and take a girls' trip. "I also have a standing resolution to always spend at least a moment each day reading a book. In 2010 I had the Orange County Breast Feeding Coalition APP on my browser. I will start 2011 by supporting St. Bernard Project".

Juan: "My new year's resolution is to spend more time learning Music Theory for my guitar playing as opposed to just learning to play songs and music pieces via Tablature Notation. I never had a chance to join any music programs or band in school due to a mix-up in my schedule. Looking back at it now, I wish I had participated in the available music programs in my school. When I play my guitar, I hope to better understand what I'm doing and how to compose music. It is therefore my pledge to install the VH1 Save The Music Foundation EZ Shopper App on my computer to help support Music Education."

Lynne: 2011 will be an incredible year - I plan to take one step forward every day...and not look back! It is my year to be the healthiest I can be - mentally, physically and emotionally.
I plan to make an effort to spend more time with those I love as well as helping those in need.  I will work hard to make the most of my affiliation with NPSM by educating those who have not discovered all the wonderful causes that can be accessed under one dynamic umbrella.  I am a child of nature so you can imagine my favorite causes to include: Oceana, National Wildlife Foundation and Surfrider Foundation.  In addition, my life experiences including the recent passing of my very close friend Nicole leads me to supporting Boarding for Breast Cancer "B4BC".  Whatever your cause....remember to be positive and keep smiling!
Marion hopes to fulfill her lifelong dream of organizing every inch of her office and her computer hard drive. "By year's end I am always overwhelmed with old files and data. Every year I make the resolution to get a clean start and to prepare my tax return on time.  It never really works out that way! I have had St. Bernard Project's APP since Fall of last year and will keep it until Mardi Gras, of course. But come March I will switch to Canine Companions in honor of my late dog and for the love of the puppy we just got at the end of 2010."

Rusty: His 2011 New Year's resolution actually KEEP his New Year's resolution (a feat never before accomplished.)
But seriously folks, I really need to: take my fish oil pills, lace 'em up and run 5K at least 3 times a week, take care of my knees, video chat with my mom weekly, and most importantly, develop an effective time management system (something us right-brained creative-types REALLY need to work on.)
Having such a HUGE heart for our little furry and feathered friends, my online purchases benefit the National Wildlife Federation.

We all hope that you will join the ranks of Shop-Anthropists and get your APP. And we would be delighted if you would share your story on our blog! Just click here and Fill out my form!

Thank you for being a Shop-Anthropist!

Your wedding can help your cause!

A New Year. A New Opportunity To Make A Difference.

Hello Everyone,
It's been a while since I've had a chance to share a blog. The holiday season has been very busy, but fruitful nonetheless. I have been very hard at work, spreading the word of Shop-Anthropy across the globe and 2010 has proven to be a very successful year for giving. We have only 2 short days before we enter into 2011 and that leaves most of us wondering what we can do to not only better our lives but the lives of others.Foruntately, with the use of you can effortlessly succeed at any number of resolutions while helping to support a large variety of non-profit organizations.

As we all know, the most common resolutions are those that are focused on healthy living such as: weight loss, healthier eating habits, exercise and an overall better way of caring for ourselves. Even more common is the number of people who fail at these resolutions. The failure itself is not necasarily related to whether or not we all have the self discipline required to succeed, but more due to lack of a real tangible reward. When we set our goals toward a thinner, healthier, more beautiful appearance; most of begin to lose encouragement fairly quickly because it is hard work that takes time and serious dedication....if we don't see that person we were hoping to see in the morror in 3-4 weeks, we tend to give up. Trust me, I speak from years and years of personal experience.

And....a thinner waistline isn't exactly cheap either! There is so much more to dieting and exercise than just calorie counting and sweating to the oldies behind drawn curtains in your living room. It's expensive to keep your refridgerator stocked with the appropriate health foods. It's difficult to find time in the day to dedicate a measley 20 minutes to basic exercise. We live in a fast paced world with temptations lurking around each and every corner. So.... I have a little something that will tap into that sensitive human nature of yours. This is something that will really keep you encouraged to "keep on truckin". Because, this is something that doesn't only affect you, it affects millions of people across the world. YOU could be the one to help YOURELF & OTHERS. YOU could be the one to improve your life & your health while providing HOPE to men, women, children, animals....our planet.... WHATEVER it is that matters most to you, because the possibilities are endless.

So here it is:
Anything & everything that you could possibly need in order to drive that resolution home is right here at
- Weight Watchers
- Jenny Craig
- 24 Hour Futness
- Gaiam Yoga Club
- Foot Smart
- Acacia
- American Diabetes Wholesale
- Sports Authority
- Bowflex
- Spa Finder
- South Beach Diet
- The Sonoma Diet

The list goes on and on, but those are just a few of the many reatilers in which you can purchase everything such as the proper foods, the proper exercise gear and apparel, as well as fitness programs either through online trainers or gym memberships. Perhaps you simply need a day at the spa or even a spa retreat to help releive stress. There are so many options to choose from to help you succeed at a new you for 2011.

Now heres where the "help yourself while helping others" comes in  - it's that big tangible reward I was talking about. By purchasing all of your "new you" goods through our website you can become a Shop-Anthropist just like me and millions of other folks across the nation by following these few simple steps. I promise you this will only take a few minutes of your time:
1. Visit our webiste
2. Scroll through our list of non-profit organizations
3. Choose the organization that you would most like to support and download the EZ SHOPPER APP for that group.

THAT'S IT! Once you're APP has downloaded, which takes only seconds, you can begin to shop at any one of our retailers listed on the website. For every single purchase you make a percentage of your total sale will be automatically donated to the non-profit you chose. You can change your non-profit as many times as you like, or just support the same group everytime you shop - it's totally up to you. It never costs you one single extra cent to support these organizations when you use the EZ SHOPPER APP. The amount of giving varies from retailer to retailer, but every cent counts. You can reach your personal goals everytime you shop while knowing that your simple purchase just gave an absolutely prriceless amount of hope to somebody less fortunate than you or I. When you take the time to actually think about how much help you are giving to so many different well deserving causes just by buying everyday products online, it really fills you with all the encouragement you could possibly need in order to succeed toward whatever goal you might have this new year.

AND....we now have something new to offer you that will help you to share your story on how you became a Shop-Anthropist. Once you've downloaded your shopping app, follow this link:  By filling out the form provided you can let the world know what an amazing thing you're doing and how they can become a Shop-Antrohpist too!

To each and every one of you, I wish you a fabulously joyful new year! My heart goes out with blessings of love and prosperity. May we all become soldiers for Shop-Anthropy. Together we can better the lives of our fellow human beings and the planet we share by providing a real chance at the life we were ALL intended to live by turning everyday shopping into everyday giving....everyday!

Much LOVE!

American Kids, Don't Miss Out! St. Nicholas Day Is Coming!

Kids of America, you have been missing out! Several elves here at grew up in Europe and we are already looking forward to Monday, December 6th. It is ST. NICHOLAS DAY and kids all over Europe will pick up a boot full of goodies in the morning. The tradition celebrated in Northern Europe consists of children choosing one of their boots - the biggest one you got! - to put out in front of the door on the night of December 5th. St. Nicholas and his farmhand "Knecht Ruprecht" visit overnight. If you have been a really good kid Nicholas fills your boot with stocking stuffers, little gifts like crayons, matchbox cars, Barbie outfits, PlayDough and more as well as sweets and fruits. If you have been a bad kid, Rupert will leave a bundle of sticks! So better be nice and tell your parents that you are a multi-cultural person who celebrates all Holiday traditions. Since your parents are Shop-Anthropists they will surely get sweet gifts for being so good!

Dear Shop-Anthropists,

We love Bloomingdale's for all their generous charitable giving over the years - as well as their beautiful merchandise!
This year they have really outdone themselves with their Holiday Charity Auction that opened yesterday on Ebay. Five different extraordinary experiences are up for grabs to the highest bidder during the online auction. It concludes on December 10th. Get your family photo shoot with star photographer ANNIE LEIBOVITZ, have VERA WANG assist you in choosing one of her famous bridal dresses before you jet off to Hawaii for a romantic get-away, sit down for coffee with ROBERT DE NIRO and attend the Tribeca Film Festival as a VIP Insider. Parrotheads will go bananas over the possibility of meeting JIMMY BUFFET next August and attend one of his concerts with backstage passes, or jet off to London for a fashionista weekend, attending the BURBERRY FASHION SHOW with front row seats, right up there with Anna Wintour, Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna. 100% of the proceeds benefit Child Mind Institute.
It is the most fabulous charity auction we could find and we are very happy to have both Bloomingdale's and Ebay among our retailers.  The amazing auction may be just a bid out of reach, with the different experiences starting at a $25 000 bid and up - but we can all be Shop-Anthropists! 30 Little Treasures Until Christmas

Dear Friends,
The Holiday Season is almost here - a time for giving and gifting and generosity, family gatherings and celebrations. It’s so nice to stay home -- the house smells of fresh baked cookies and turkey and trimmings.  If we could just stay home in front of the fire and spend time with our families, why would we ever leave to go shopping??
Why bother with bad weather, traffic jams around the malls, hectic preparations and all that additional stress?  We understand completely where you are coming from when you wish that January were already here!
So we came up with a way to help and make it easier!

Remember the Holidays as a child? The anticipation and joy as you peel back the doors on your Christmas Calendar, one each day, to reveal a delicious little chocolate?

The NonProfitShoppingMall elves have been hard at work selecting great gifts for each and everyone from some of our favorite gift retailers -- for every budget, from small and wonderful to expensive and grand.

Starting on November 23rd and ending December 22nd,
the final day for online shopping to guarantee timely delivery,
we will send a daily message via Twitter with a gift idea and the online retailer link.

Make sure to install your EZ Shopper App ( from our partner directory so your organization benefits from your Shop-Anthropy!

Follow us on Twitter,  just click to buy fabulously fun gifts from the comfort of your own home!  There’s nothing like shopping online in front of a crackling fireplace, wearing your bunny slippers per our friend Rachael Ray and getting that soothing sugar rush from some hot cocoa.  Does it get any better — I don’t think so !!

Thank you for being a Shop-Anthropist and Happy Holidays!

Get your EZ Shopper Widget from the American Health Assistance Foundation

          Dear Shop-Anthropists,

There are so many non-profits and so many good causes, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. So we thought we will help. Our
Healthy Aging Spotlight is turned on the American Health Assistance Foundation,
Here is what they do in their own words:
AHAF is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that funds research seeking cures for Alzheimer's disease, age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma, and provides the public with information about risk factors, preventative lifestyles, available treatments and coping strategies. We disseminate vital information to the public, especially those affected by these age-related degenerative diseases, through our website, print publications, as well as TV and radio Public Service Announcements (PSAs). Our aim is to educate people about risk factors, the latest research, treatment options, risk reduction through healthy lifestyles, and ways to cope with the effects of these diseases.

Sadly, many of us will experience one of those problems during our lives, whether it will be personally or in family members.

This whole month we will feature retailers who specialize in products that help us age gracefully, healthily and happily. Join us on Twitter to get the daily updates. Shop Teal For Ovarian Cancer

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. There are numerous ways that you can show your support and help raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA). The easiest, most cost effective and fun way to contribute is by SHOPPING TEAL.
Why SHOP TEAL? Not only is teal the BIG color for fall, more importantly teal is the ovarian cancer community's color and serves as a reminder that ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all the cancers of the reproductive system and a leading cause of cancer death among women. There are hundreds of online retailers that feature teal items and we've teamed up with a number of these retailers to highlight their teal products. The best part is that while SHOPPING TEAL, a percentage of your purchase will be earmarked to benefit OCNA. Teal may not be everyone's color, but not to worry, you can buy just about anything you want from our participating retailers and still have your purchase support OCNA. We have plenty of retailers to share with you in order to help you begin your shopping adventure in support of Ovarian Cancer, but first, let's get you familiar with the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.
Established in 1997, the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance has become the foremost advocate for ovarian cancer in the United States. Until there's a cure for the disease, the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance will lead the national initiative to conquer ovarian cancer. The organization unites individuals and organizations at the local, state, and national levels to advance ovarian cancer research in the quest for early detection tests, improved health care practices, and development of live-saving treatment protocols. The OCNA is helping save women's lives by raising awareness about this drastically understated disease. The organization teaches us to "Know your body. Know the symptoms. Help spread the word."

During a recent response to a threat of a funding reduction to the Department of Defense's Ovarian Cancer Research Program, OCNA urged advocates to contact their Members of Congress to appeal to the Appropriations Defense Subcommittee to increase funding for the research program. As a result of OCNA's advocacy efforts, 14 Senators and 77 Representatives showed their opposition to the funding cut by signing a Dear Colleague letter sent to the Subcommittee Tuesday, November 3, 2009. The Dear Colleague letter, written by Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), requested that the Subcommittee allocate the $25 million set forth in the U.S. House of Representatives version of the Defense bill, and NOT the $10 million outlined in the U.S. Senate version of the bill. The Senate funding level represented a 50 percent reduction from the $20 million appropriated in fiscal year 2009. This single event alone was a huge success for OCNA, women all over the globe and the families who have been affected by ovarian cancer.

Lead by founding members: Patricia A. Goldman, President Emeritus, Kai Binford, Susan Lowell Butler, Bonnie Donihi, Pamela J. Faerber, Nancy Hines, Ann Kolker, Betty Reiser, Ceil Sinnex, Susan Wallace, Gail Hayward*, Carolyn N. Marks*, Cindy Melancon*, Rhonda Oziel* (asterisks represent founding members who are now deceased). Their mission is simple and straight forward. The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance works to advance the interests of women with ovarian cancer by:

  1. Advocating for increased federal funding for ovarian cancer research that will lead to an effective early detection test, better treatment, and a cure.
  2. Increasing awareness that early recognition of symptoms is the best way to save lives.
  3. Educating medical and other healthcare professionals about ovarian cancer diagnosis and the need to provide referral to gynecologic oncologists.

Among the millions of ovarian cancer awareness supporters nationwide, there is a large celebrity backing for the OCNA. Superstar advocates or ambassadors such as: Janet Jackson, Kathy Bates, Rachel Zoe, Ray Romano and Jimmy Fallon have shown their share of support in various ways like charity events, marathons, and product endorsements. Other big supporters are Jack LaLanne of "Power Jucier" fame, Danica Patrick (NASCAR) and Rima Fakih (Miss USA).

Every woman out there needs to understand that our bodies speak to us and the best way to know whether we are in need of serious medical attention is by trusting our bodies to send us the necessary warnings of a potential illness. For many years the medical community told us that there were no noticeable symptoms related to ovarian cancer, but we now know that there are four very basic symptoms that are not only simple to remember, but also, all too easily dismissed not only by ourselves, but by our doctors as well. Nearly all of us have had some combination of these symptoms more than one time or another, and because they are generally common discomforts, especially as we get older, we often excuse them as normal everyday ailments that will pass with time. In many cases this is true and the discomfort passes. However, it is absolutely crucial that we do not ignore the warning signs. In a case like this, the saying "better safe than sorry" could not be truer.
Let us leave you with one last thought regarding cancer. It is of no difference whatsoever what form of cancer you have, as a woman, when it comes to the feelings of despair and anxiety that chemotherapy invokes. The side effects are no doubt physically uncomfortable if not painful, but for most women the greatest emotional trauma they suffer from chemotherapy is the loss of their hair. Many people have a hard time accepting why losing some hair is such a devastating experience, but we are women, we care greatly about our exterior beauty. Call it vanity if you like, but we, as women tend to lose our identity without our outer beauty -- a sad side effect of our social conditioning. But this image of Sharon Blynn; Ovarian Cancer Survivor, writer, actor and founder of, is a strong visual testimony to the fact that we can either have long, luscious locks or be completely bald and still be empowered with a dynamic sense of beauty that lets the world around us know that we're OK and here to stay!!

Red Carpet Ready!

Have you ever found yourself staring into a closet filled with clothes but have absolutely nothing to wear? It’s a common dilemma that nearly every woman I know has faced on countless occasions. Even if you are an avid fashionista, you’re bound to find yourself with a bounty of threads that just doesn’t cut the mustard when it matters the most.
For Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Carter Fleiss, two ordinary business school students, this fashion dilemma became a labor of love intended to free American women from the bondage of a lackluster love affair with clothing.
To some people these women are simply just Harvard graduates, but to me they are revolutionaries. With nothing more than a simple dream, buckets of blood, sweat and tears, and an amazing production team; they developed Rent The Runway.
What is Rent The Runway? It is an online company that gives regular woman like you and I the opportunity to wear red carpet fashions for a fraction of the price without having to make an eternal commitment to a piece of clothing you might never wear again. Here’s how it works:
Step 1 – Become a member of RentTheRunway.Com – It’s free to join. Once you’ve become a member you can browse through a seemingly endless array of A-list designers to find a dress or two that you love.
Step 2 – Schedule a delivery date and your dress will appear on your doorstep right when you need it. They’ll even send you a second back-up size of your dress – just to be safe!
Step 3 – After you’ve worn your dress just pop it in their handy pre-paid packaging and drop it in the nearest mailbox. The best part is that you don’t even have to dry clean it!
It’s really that easy. I know it sounds too good to be true, but I assure you this is not a dream. It is no longer necessary to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on designer fashions that may very well end up collecting dust in your closet after wearing it only once or twice. You’re friends will be in utter disbelief when you show up to their cocktail party in a Diane Von Furstenberg dress, or to a black tie event in a Bibhu Mohapatra gown.
But wait…. It gets better! Rent The Runway also has a giant collection of breathtaking accessories. Close your eyes and imagine for a moment the feeling of a Badgley Mischka necklace against your skin, or an edgy yet elegant Dannijo cuff on your delicate wrist.
The possibilities are endless, but most importantly these fashions are accessible on just about any budget. So what are you gonna do, sit around and drool longingly over fashion magazines, or make your desires a reality? You’d be crazy not to take advantage of what Rent The Runway has to offer.
Go now to Rent The Runway to sign up for your membership. There may a brief waiting period before your membership is accepted as there is no doubt a long waiting list, but not to worry, it is definitely worth the wait. I signed up and got accepted within one hour but I would have waited for days if I had to. Now I have the world of high fashion at my fingertips and so can you!

Daddies Make The World Go Around

The month of May is flying by at an impressive speed. It feels like Mothers Day was just yesterday, and in the blink of an eye it will be Fathers Day.
For many of us these 2 particular holidays can be overwhelming. We often find ourselves scrambling to get a reservation at mom’s favorite restaurant, we go to great lengths to make sure that perfect bouquet of flowers is delivered to mom’s doorstep at precisely the right time, and just pray that the glue on that macaroni art the kids made dries before morning. And, just when you think you’ve survived Mothers Day it’s time to start shopping for a gift for dad.
But don’t let yourself get discouraged. Mom and dad raised you to believe in yourself, you can do it, and I can help!
I love Fathers Day! I am fortunate enough to have a father who makes it impossible not to smile when I look into his eyes. My father is always full of laughter. He is silly & fun, but lovingly firm in his role as a parent. However, my father is far from normal. He’s definitely not the kind of guy that you would give a new tie to as a Fathers Day gift. My gift needs to be creative, something that represents all of his crazy quirks & antics.
Every father is unique, so this year make his day special by celebrating those personal qualities that make him stand out from the crowd. Lucky for you I have plenty of ideas to get you started.
Hammacher Schlemmer has a huge variety of very unique gifts. With everything from apparel to gadgets & gizmos, it’s nearly impossible not to find a gift that dad will flip over. After spending much time combing through their website with a fine tooth comb, I was finally able to settle on just a few of my favorite items.
The LP  & Cassette to CD Recorder. This product is so cool I think I would buy it for my dad just so I could secretly use it for myself. If your father is anything like mine, he has endless stacks of old LP’s and ancient cassettes that are more valuable to him than the roof over his head. But, what good are they if you can’t enjoy listening to them wherever you go? Now dad can put ALL of his albums onto CD as well as enjoy the comforting sound of those old records with all their crackles and pops.
The Ventless Portable Air Conditioner. Perhaps dad is the type to spend countless hours in the garage tinkering away on classic motorcycles or home improvement projects, but it’s just so darn hot in there during the summer time, which just so happens to be his favorite time of year to task away. Do him a favor with this handy little air conditioner so he can work to his hearts content without passing out from the heat.
The Steering Wheel Bluetooth Speakerphone. Being a father is a full time job. Juggling work, family, and trying to maintain a social life is no easy task. So, give him an extra hand with this amazing speakerphone for his car. It cordlessly attaches to his steering wheel, placing the microphone and speakers closer to him for easier conversations without taking his hands off the wheel. It provides five hours of talk time & uses two 2-watt speakers coupled with noise reduction and echo cancellation technologies for clear transmission & reception. Inbound calls appear on the device’s 1/4″ H display as either numbers or names allowing him to accept or reject calls with a press of a button. Volume and phone book buttons allow further control right from the steering wheel. It can recall up to 10 of the most recently-dialed numbers and performs call-waiting. This device can store up to 600 groups of numbers.
I saved the best for last here. The Voice Activated R2D2. Almost every grown man I know has a little Star Wars nerd in him. Heck, I have a little nerd in me too. Sure dad might like a nice shiny golf club, or dress shirt, but deep down inside all he REALLY wants is his very own R2D2 robot to follow him around the house and obey his commands. R2 obeys more than 40 voice commands and he plays games like tag, using an infrared sensor to search for people in a room. His sensor helps him follow behind you, or it can be set to detect motion, turning R2 into a room sentry that sounds an alarm when a secured area is invaded. R2’s lights, swiveling dome top, and distinctive happy and sad sounds faithfully mimic the real thing, right down to his occasional “bad mood.” R2 can also replay sounds and dialog from Star Wars movies, answer yes-or-no questions, and dance while playing the famed cantina music. Enough said.
Now on to more classy gifts for the father with a refined taste. Aspinal of London is a great retailer for the man who prefers a more suave and polished image.
Speaking of polished…. This Shoe Cleaning Kit has everything dad needs to put his best foot forward. Seen here in Black English Bridle leather it’s probably the most practical and stylish ever designed and will ensure he steps out in style every day. The kit comprises of Neutral Shoe Cream with Beeswax, Black Wax Shoe Polish, one natural and one black shoe brush that can be used for buffing or applying polish, a suede brush and a fine quality duster for applying polish or buffing to a perfect shine.
Your father is a swanky fella and wouldn’t be caught dead sipping his favorite whiskey from some cheap plastic cup. When it’s time for him to sit back and relax with his comrades he deserves to chill in style, which he can do with this dashing leather hip flask. Each flask comes with two extra cups, neatly stored beneath the lid cap, so dad came share a dram with the boys.
The remote control, it seems to have a will of its own and tends to evade even the most organized man. We’ve all experienced the hunt for the remote, lifting couch cushions, peering beneath the living room furniture, and somehow we end up finding it in the most peculiar places like the backyard, or the bathroom. How about saving dad the repeated headache of searching for the remote by giving him The Remote Control Box? Hand crafted in England, the exterior of this fabulous Remote Control Box has been hand painted, gilded and finished to faithfully reproduce the appearance of a leather bound book. It’s classy and convenient.

Pictures are an amazing gift. Memories captured in time for all of eternity are a gift that never fades. To be the photographer or the subject, both are exciting. In my family we share photos as gifts for each and every holiday. At times they are simple gifts like snapshots, and when the occasion is more important we go all out and turn our photos into a variety of gifts, such as: mugs, posters, framed art, puzzles, coasters…. You name it we got it. At Kodak and Kodak Gallery you can purchase everything from basic point and shoot cameras to fine photo jewelry and everything in between. Kodak is an excellent retailer for younger children in the family who want to make a really special personalized gift for dad. With a little bit of help from an adult, the kids can design all kinds of amazing gifts.
For the father who is a social networking butterfly & a photo enthusiast, I would suggest the new KODAK EASYSHARE Z981 Digital Camera, where creativity and versatility come together. It zooms in faster, wider, and closer than ever, giving dad sharp, steady shots he’ll be proud to share. Kodak’s Share button lets you tag pictures directly from your camera for uploading to YouTube, FACEBOOK, FLICKR, and KODAK Gallery sites, plus e-mail too. Check the website for different models and prices of the EasyShare camera.
Another amazing EasyShare camera from Kodak, for the father who prefers live video over still photographs. The KODAK Zi8 Pocket Video Camera captures every experience in stunning 1080p HD video. While dad’s on the move he can stay in focus with integrated image stabilization. Then kick back and watch all the action on your HDTV or share the scene on Facebook or YouTube with a flick of the built-in USB arm.
This personalized photo calendar is one of my favorite gifts to design as well as receive. I have many from over the years and the best part is that when the year is over you can always crop and cut the photos out of the calendar for framing. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. This is also a really fun project for the younger kids in the family. They can help you choose the photos for each month and compose special captions just for daddy. There are many different layout styles to choose from, you can start the calendar on any month you want and they prices start at just $19.99.
Where I live it’s a big a surf community. I know most of the dads in my neighborhood and every one of them hits the beach at 5am, before work, before the kids are even awake. These dads are seriously dedicated to the surf. They say the water beckons them and they must obey. If this sounds like your father then I know these gifts will make him the proudest daddy alive.
Becker has an enormous selection of beach apparel and there is no shortage of board shorts. I just really liked this particular pattern, but I’m sure you’ll have no trouble at all finding a pair that best suits your dad’s style.
The Fedora hat is a timeless accessory to any stylish mans wardrobe. Whether he’s wearing a suit or board shorts, he is definitely going to look sharp in this hat, which Becker has aptly named the “Mafia Fedora”.
No surfer is half the man he could be without a red hot longboard from Santa Cruz Surfboards. Sure, dad probably already has one or two boards already, but trust me it’s never enough. My dad has so many he keeps two of them at my house just so they’re available should he decide to visit long enough to take advantage of the beach by my house. Each board invokes a different feeling for its master which is why they use each one for different reasons.
There are so many different kinds of fathers out there. There is the tough & goal oriented father; the laid back & playful father; the spiritual father who let’s you make your own mistakes; the over-bearing father who scares away your dates……..
No matter who your father is, he is yours and yours alone. He deserves a Fathers Day that reflects your sentiments towards him. It’s not important how much money you spend on his gift, the important thing is that your gift shows your dad just how well you know him. It’s those small details that show your father you’re paying attention to what makes him happy, that in itself is the biggest gift of all. And, on Fathers Day be sure that you remember to wrap your arms around your father and hold him tight, because whether you are 5 or 45, you will always be his baby.
