As a soldier for love it is my personal goal to spread my word across the universe about the importance of using your heart to it’s fullest potential. I am a firm believer that Valentines Day is nothing more than one day where we simply spotlight an already existing devotion to the love that we spread on a daily basis. In my heart and in my home everyday is Valentines Day and I strongly believe that ALL humans should live by this same belief. Far too often we forget that there are 365 days per year for us to shower our loved ones with symbols and/or actions of our gratitude for the gift of being welcome in their lives, by being given the pleasure of sharing their ups and downs, for being allowed to be a character in their stories and for being humble enough to let us help them when they need us most. There are ENDLESS reasons for each and every one of us to be grateful for our distinct ability to love and be loved. Our hearts are so much more than just a vital organ, it is also a vital weapon….a weapon against fear, suffering, pain, uncertainty, and injustice in all its forms. If you haven’t noticed, there is a war going on across the globe. It’s a battle for all walks of life (including animals and our planet as a whole) to simply survive on a daily basis. But the fact is that the majority of us, even those who are low-income CAN do something to help others that truly have nothing.
