30 Million Dollars Could Benefit Non-Profits on Green Monday

comScore announced this morning that shoppers will spend one billion dollars online today, Green Monday, to take advantage of the great online holiday shopping deals!
I have to admit, I needed to google the math to figure out how much 3% of one billion makes. It's a lot of zeros before the comma, after all. It comes to a whopping 30 million dollars! That's how much money would go into the accounts of our participating non-profit organizations if all shoppers used ShopAnthropy, either by using the EZ Shopper app, our website or the non-profit's Facebook Shop+Give Tab!
comScore also announced that shoppers have spend a whopping 24 billion dollars on online holiday shopping so far this season! That would mean 240 million dollars in ShopAnthropy support! 
Can you even begin to imagine what that kind of financial help would mean to the fight against AIDS, the support for victims of Rape, Abuse and Incest, efforts to save beaches and oceans  or helping kids with autism,

We Are Honoring World AIDS DAY By Making MTV's Staying Alive Foundation Change Maker of December

Dear ShopAnthropists,

As we honor World AIDS Day and commence AIDS Awareness Month, we have selected MTV Staying Alive Foundation as the Change Maker of December.
SAF's Mission Statement explains what they do:

As a global grant-making organization, the Foundation’s mission is to encourage, energize, and empower young people who are involved in HIV/AIDS awareness, education and prevention campaigns. 
The Foundation does this by presenting the Staying Alive Awards to young individuals and youth groups who are focused on stopping the spread of HIV and who have demonstrated the potential to become future leaders.  The award comes with a financial grant to assist them in continuing and expanding their work, and provides public recognition to inspire others to get involved.


SAF has the wonderful, passionate support of celebrity Ambassadors Travis McCoy, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson and Jamal Edwards who have all been continually involved to help raise awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS with SAF.
