Good News For California Women: New State Program For FREE Cancer Screenings Open December 1

Dear ShopAnthropists!

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is pleased to announce that the Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts (CDP: EWC) will open enrollment December 1, 2010 to eligible women age 40 and older for breast cancer screening and diagnostic services.
Click HERE to get to their website.

The Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts (CDP: EWC) provides free clinical breast exams, mammograms, pelvic exams and Pap tests to California’s underserved women.

...... Now, this is good news! 20 % of all California women are without health insurance. Consequently, one out of every five women in the Golden State has little or no access to health care and cancer screenings. Please go visit the Every Woman Counts Website  to find out more.

Keep Shopping Pink! And keep supporting B4BC! Get the EZ Shopper app and make all your online shopping count!

Now Shop The SKYMALL at Sea Level!

Dear ShopAnthropists!

Here’s a great opportunity -- Shop SkyMall at Sea Level through nonprofitshoppingmall.com — you know all those things that you think you might need at 35,000 ‘ but just aren’t willing to pull the ecommerce trigger on at that height -- well, here’s an opportunity to revisit those sky high dreams and make them yours.  We’ve chosen a few of our favorite things — I hear a song coming on...  and we hope you’ll agree that you can’t live without them either.  As we get closer to the holidays we’ll be posting more of their décor items as well — I love browsing through the SkyMall catalog on my frequent flights but I’m happy to have the opportunity to ‘come down’ before I actually buy anything — do you think that all that cabin pressure has anything to do with purchasing decisions at 35,000 ‘.... Let’s weigh in on that thought process please ...

In the meantime, check out our new SkyMall category and shop without turbulence to benefit your favorite charity ...  What do you think will be next — shopping while riding the space shuttle to the moon?  I think I’ll stay stateside and start slow ....

Stay safe and let the shopping force be with you .....

October Spotlight on B4BC

Dear ShopAnthropists!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! We are happy to spotlight B4BC for the month of October. Here at npsm we all have girlfriends who have battled the Big C with breast cancer and our thoughts are with you if you are fighting for your health right now! But make no mistake, men also can get breast cancer!
B4BC focuses on reaching out to young women to educate early on to prevent, detect and avoid breast cancer. What you do in your 20ties affects what happens in your 50ties.

Please consider getting B4BC's EZ Shopper App and start earmarking your online shopping gifting percentages for B4BC.

Thank you for being a ShopAnthropist!
