Please Support MTV's "Come Together" and Fight AIDS/HIV

Dear ShopAnthropists!

Just a quick note to encourage you to get the beautiful double red ribbon to support
MTV Come Together! We have been longtime friends of the MTV Staying Alive Foundation and AWEARNESS - The Kenneth Cole Foundation who are teaming up to continue the fight against AIDS/HIV.
They have assembled many artists to help them raise awareness. Sarah Jessica Parker, Ke$ha, Estelle, Cheyenne Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Skylar Grey and many more have signed up!

All of them wear the new Come Together Ribbon that fans can purchase for a very affordable $5 at Kenneth Cole stores, Kenneth Cole online, Gilt,  Bloomingdale's and House of Fraser in Great Britain for five quid, mate! Click the links and turn your online purchase into ShopAnthropy.

Remembering the Philanthropist Whitney Houston

Dear ShopAnthropists,

It is impossible to get away from all the sad Whitney Houston headlines following her untimely passing this past Saturday.
We are saddened to see that much of the coverage dwells on her well reported personal woes. Only in passing do the media mention her amazing track record in philanthropy. Thankfully, the Huffington Post is linking a detailed list of her many charitable endeavors which Whitney continued to support despite her personal challenges. You can also find a complete list on her website:

We will always remember her amazing gifts to this world and our hearts go out to her family and friends.

If you would like to help support organizations in their fight against drugs and addiction, please check out Partnership at

We ♥ February's Changemaker: the American Heart Association

Dear ShopAnthropists!

The Month of Hearts and Love is upon us and we are happy to put the spotlight on the American Heart Association.
We have selected AHA as the Changemaker for February to honor American Heart Month.

Did you know that heart disease is the Number One killer of ALL Americans, of African Americans and  of women in America? Learn more from AHA National Volunteer STAR JONES, TV personality and heart disease survivor and her campaign to educate Americans on how to prevent heart disease and stay healthy.

Join Star, Elizabeth Banks, Barbara Walters, and many more and GO RED FOR WOMEN on Friday, February 3rd.
We will be wearing red on Friday in memory of our friend Kit who died of heart failure at age 53 on February 1, 2011.

Join ShopAnthropy and shop for AHA while you purchase your gifts of love this month!
